Madlanga Commission: Feroz Khan applies to postpone testimony - EWN

The Madlanga Commission has resumed on Monday morning with a postponement application from dismissed General Feroz Khan.

Khan was subpoenaed to testify on Monday, with evidence leaders further requesting certain parts of his evidence be led in private to protect ongoing investigations.

Khan's lawyer, Muhammed Vally, referred to a medical opinion regarding Khan's testimony.

“If he was subject to scrutiny, it's likely to constitute significant psychological stresses, which may exacerbate symptoms of anxiety and hyperarousal, and a consequent adverse effect on his concentration. He continues the sentence to tell us why it would be counterproductive.”

Meanwhile, the commission ruled over the weekend that evidence linked to taxi boss Oupa Bafana Sindane would also be led on Monday.

Sindane is currently at the Pretoria High Court, seeking a new interdict to prevent his WhatsApp messages from being included as part of evidence.
