Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation clears unauthorised structures

The Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) has intensified action against unauthorised constructions and encroachments on public roads, nalas, government land and other public-use spaces across its jurisdiction.
Acting on the directions of Commissioner T. Vinay Krishna Reddy, officials carried out enforcement drives in the Malkajgiri, Uppal, Kapra and LB Nagar zones, removing unauthorised floors, sheds, gates, compound walls, projections, ramps and other encroachments.
In Malkajgiri zone, action was taken against an unauthorised third floor at Fathenagar, Bowenpally, while 51 encroachments were removed between Sainikpuri crossroads and Nirmal Nagar crossroads in Moula Ali. In the Uppal and Kapra areas, officials acted against unauthorised additional floors and removed sheds, gates and compound walls.
In Uppal, 15 unauthorised sheds and huts were removed between Nagole Metro Station and Nalla Cheruvu. Unauthorised third-floor structures were also removed at Chengicherla and Kuntloor, while action was taken against unauthorised upper floors at Yamnamapet and Peddamberpet.
In the LB Nagar zone, officials removed 20 projections, 10 temporary sheds and five stalls along the road from Bashyam School, Saroornagar, towards the Dilsukhnagar bus depot. At Hayathnagar, 34 encroachments, including 12 ramps and 22 sheds, were removed.
The Commissioner directed officials to monitor cleared areas to prevent fresh encroachments and asked the Town Planning, Engineering and Revenue departments to coordinate in protecting public roads, nalas, government land and other public-use areas, a press note informed.
He warned that unauthorised constructions and encroachments would invite action under the rules.
