MANILA, Philippines – Former speaker Martin Romualdez, the cousin of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., is now detained at the New Quezon City Jail a week after his arrest over plunder related to the multi-billion flood control scandal.

Although they confirmed some illnesses like sleep apnea, hypertension, diabetes, and major depressive disorder, among others, Legaspi said the former speaker may already be discharged from confinement.
