Part of what makes Molly Gordon such a great actor and filmmaker is her genuine interest in other people. It’s one thing to be able to connect with someone based on mutual interests or experiences, but Molly goes beyond that. She wants to learn about your life, your thoughts, your creative processes. She’s a deeply curious person. Molly has a real tenacity about her, too—which was clear when we worked together on her upcoming film Peaked—but she also has an innate ability to stay playful and open.

Her comedy reminds me of the kinds of movies we grew up watching: stories centered around irreverent characters who you can’t help but root for. She brings such clear and fresh perspectives to this industry that I honestly think Molly is some kind of comedy wizard. I’m so excited to keep watching her flourish.
