Monkey jumps at 91-year-old woman and knocks her down, attack caught on CCTV

A 91-year-old woman died after she was attacked and knocked down by a monkey outside her home in Karnataka’s Koppal district, with the incident captured on CCTV and subsequently spreading across social media.

The video of the incident was shared by PTI on X, showing the moment the elderly woman was standing inside the compound of her house.

A monkey, which was perched on a concrete pillar near the property’s black metal gate, suddenly lunged at her.

The CCTV footage shows the monkey moving toward the woman, causing her to fall backward onto the hard ground.

Her daughter rushed outside after the incident to help her. The monkey also approached and briefly attacked another woman who rushed to help her.

The CCTV footage, which captured the sequence of events, circulated widely on social media.
