Muzaffarnagar e-rickshaw driver's daring drive through Spiti's rocky roads goes viral
An e-rickshaw driver from Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar has gone viral on social media after driving his vehicle all the way to Himachal Pradesh’s Spiti Valley, documenting his challenging journey through a series of Instagram videos.
Sumit Kumar began his journey in August and shared glimpses of his experiences on the road, from interacting with locals and tourists to navigating the difficult terrain of the Himalayan valley. His videos have garnered millions of views.
In the midst of his daring journey, Sumit stopped in Manali from where he shared snippets of the food he ate, his interactions with locals and a visit to a dhaba. His choice of vehicle surprised several tourists he met during the journey. In one of his videos, tourists reacted to seeing him drive an e-rickshaw through Spiti, where the challenging terrain and steep mountain roads made his journey particularly demanding.
Sumit also showed viewers the difficult roads he encountered, recalling how several people had told him that driving an e-rickshaw through such rocky terrain would not be possible.
