Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday (September 17, 2026) had darshan at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi and performed special prayers with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister Chirag Paswan and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as part of the Varanasi-Vadnagar Seva Yatra, which marks Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s completion of 25 years in public service.
The prayers included a “Panchamrit Abhishek” at the temple, which Union Minister and Uttar Pradesh BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary also joined. TDP MPs Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu and Sana Satish were present.

Mr. Naidu said Mr. Modi was leading the country towards development and that it was a matter of great joy to celebrate his birthday. The Indian economy was on a stronger footing because of the decisions Mr. Modi had taken and the slew of reforms being implemented under what he called the Prime Minister’s visionary leadership, he said.
“It is a very historic day. We are very happy to celebrate the PM’s birthday in Kashi Vishwanath Temple,” Mr. Naidu, who is 76 himself, told reporters. “The Prime Minister has brought this nation to great glory. In another 25 years’ time, India will become a developed nation under his leadership. All of us have to serve the nation. It is not an option.”
Mr. Modi was leading the country towards development, he said, and the Indian economy stood on a stronger footing because of the decisions the Prime Minister had taken and the reforms under way. “All of us have to serve the nation. It is not an option,” he said.
