Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan ahead of a meeting to discuss about the local body elections, in Amaravati on Tuesday.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan met at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office at Undavalli, near here, on Tuesday and discussed the preparations for the upcoming local body elections in Andhra Pradesh.
Mr. Pawan Kalyan joined Mr. Naidu for breakfast and the two leaders later held discussions on the elections.
The discussions were learnt to have covered seat-sharing among the alliance partners, the constituencies and local bodies to be contested by each party, and the selection of mayoral candidates for key municipal corporations.
The two leaders also reportedly discussed the election strategies to be adopted and the need for coordination among the alliance partners once the election schedule was announced.
The meeting also focused on evolving a coordinated strategy to project unity among the alliance partners and secure strong results at all levels in the local body elections. The meeting lasted nearly two hours, the to CMO officials said.
