NCCIA registers FIR against PTI's Junaid Akbar
The NCCIA has registered a case against PTI leader Junaid Akbar over alleged hate speech and provocative remarks, invoking Sections 9, 10 and 11 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).
The agency registered the FIR at its Islamabad centre, with an agency officer named as the complainant. According to the FIR, Junaid Akbar's alleged speech, circulated on social media, contained hateful and provocative remarks.
The FIR also alleges that the PTI leader threatened to damage government property. The text of Junaid Akbar's speech has also been reproduced in the FIR.
