New Ford Tourneo Titanium X AWD gets a grip on SA - TimesLIVE
Ford South Africa has expanded its premium people-mover range with the introduction of the new Tourneo Titanium X AWD.
Offering enhanced traction across a range of surfaces, it is powered by a 125kW/390Nm 2.0l four-cylinder turbodiesel engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. An adaptive all-wheel-drive system distributes drive between the front and rear axles according to available grip, while drivers can toggle between six drive modes: Normal, Eco, Slippery, Tow/Haul, Sport and Trail.
The AWD variant is largely identical to the front-wheel-drive Tourneo Titanium X, with 19″ alloy wheels and AWD badging among the distinguishing features. Matrix LED headlights are also fitted.

Standard technology includes a 13″ touchscreen running Ford’s Sync 4 infotainment system, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. A 360º camera system provides a view around the vehicle to assist with manoeuvring and parking in tight spaces.
Safety and driver assistance features include autonomous emergency braking with pre-collision assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centring, lane keeping assist, blind spot information, rear cross-traffic alert with reverse brake assist, traffic sign recognition, intelligent speed assist, exit warning, driver monitoring and post-collision braking.
Powered sliding side doors provide access to the second and third rows. Picture: Ford Optional equipment available to buyers includes the Lux Pack, which adds heated second-row seats, a 14-speaker B&O sound system and a full-length panoramic moonroof.
Tick the box on the Mobile Office package and you’ll get a stowable tray table, additional lighting, laptop or tablet storage between the seats, extra USB connections, an accessory docking slot and an integrated rubbish bin. The steering wheel can also be converted into a table for use by the driver when the vehicle is parked.
The Ford Tourneo Titanium X AWD is priced at R1,354,100. The price includes a six-year/90,000km service plan, four-year/120,000km warranty, and four-year/unlimited-distance roadside assistance package.
