NGO worker: Education is the key to solving the world's problems

The award ceremony for the 21st UNESCO Confucius Prize for Literacy was held on Monday at the Confucius Research Institute in Qufu City, east China's Shandong Province. Three projects were awarded the prize, including the "Accelerated Education for Out-of-School Displaced Youth in Lebanon Programme."

Laura Miucci-Casale, an officer with Alsama Project in Lebanon, told CGTN that she believes education is a fundamental human right. Speaking about the project in crisis-affected areas, she noted that prioritizing education is necessary to help young people go out and make a difference in the world.
