Over 60 flights cancelled amid Gulf tensions

Air operations have once again been severely disrupted amid tensions involving Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries, with more than 60 international flights cancelled at airports across Pakistan on Saturday, according to airport sources. The cancellations have caused difficulties for thousands of passengers, while domestic and foreign airlines have repeatedly revised their flight schedules in response to the situation. At Lahore's Allama Iqbal International Airport, 15 flights bound for Jeddah, Riyadh, the United Arab Emirates and other destinations were cancelled, airport sources said. Nineteen flights were cancelled at Karachi's Jinnah International Airport and 14 at Islamabad International Airport. Two flights were cancelled at Sialkot Airport, while four were cancelled at Faisalabad Airport. Peshawar Airport reported four cancellations, while five flights were cancelled at Multan Airport. The repeated changes to flight schedules have left passengers facing uncertainty over their departures and travel arrangements.
