PAGASA: Habagat to bring cloudy skies, rains over Southern Luzon; monitoring LPA outside PAR - GMA Network
The southwest monsoon (habagat) will bring cloudy skies with isolated rains over the western section of Southern Luzon while a Low Pressure Area (LPA) with low chance of turning into a tropical depression is being monitored.
The state weather bureau is also monitoring LPA 09g that located 2,090 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) that has a low chance of development into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
Palawan, Occidental Mindoro and Oriental Mindoro will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon and flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms and possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast over Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon is moderate to strong and moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the south to southwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southwest to west direction and slight to moderate coastal waters.
