Panthers Week 2 injury report: One starter out, another questionable vs. Falcons - Panthers Wire
The Carolina Panthers may have to face one of the league's very best rushers without two of their starters on defense.
Defensive lineman Bobby Brown III, who is dealing with a bulging disc in his back, has been ruled out of Sunday's Week 2 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. Brown was a non-participant in practice throughout the week.
Outside linebacker Pat Jones II may also be sidelined with a back injury of his own. Jones missed last weekend's regular-season opener, and has been listed as questionable after a limited session on Friday.
Carolina surrendered 291 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns in last week's 59-37 loss to the Chicago Bears. Now, running back Bijan Robinson, 2025's scrimmage yards leader, awaits.
In a bit of good news, wide receiver Jalen Coker (ankle) was a full participant today and will enter the weekend without a game designation.
