Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday (September 22, 2026) inaugurated a drinking water scheme modernised at a cost of ₹9.59 crore at Nagulapalli, which will supply safe drinking water to 97,000 people in 52 habitations in Pithapuram rural mandal in Kakinada district.
The scheme, commissioned three decades ago, had failed to supply drinking water to the tail-end villages.
Kakinada Rural MLA Pantham Nanaji, District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad, Rural Water Supply Chief Engineer Gayatri Devi and other officials were present.
