Police arraign three suspects over $100,000 fraud - Punch Newspapers

The Nigeria Police Force says it has arraigned three suspects over their alleged involvement in a $100,000 fraud. The Force Public Relations Officer, Ani Iniedu, in a statement on Thursday, said the suspects were arraigned on offences bordering on criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust and obtaining by false pretences, before the Federal High Court, Court 6, Maitama, Abuja. Iniedu stated that preliminary investigations revealed that the complainant allegedly transferred $100,000 to the three suspects, George Ali, Anthony Ali and Simon Ali, in 2009 for the purchase and shipment of auto spare parts from the United States of America. The matter was subsequently adjourned to 3rd December 2026 for further hearing. “The Nigeria Police Force remains committed to the diligent investigation of financial crimes and other offences, while ensuring that suspects are brought before the appropriate judicial authorities in accordance with the law,” he concluded.
