Ramaphosa’s return to public duties remains unclear after ill health - IOL
President Cyril Ramaphosa’s return to public duties remains unclear after he was booked off due to ill health.
President Cyril Ramaphosa’s return to public engagements remains unclear days after the Presidency confirmed he had been booked off following ill health.
The statement further read: "President Ramaphosa, who returned from the BRICS Summit in India on Monday, has been advised by his medical team to rest and recover."
The Presidency added that, where possible, Ramaphosa had asked the relevant ministers to represent him at scheduled public engagements.
The Presidency did not provide further details about the nature of Ramaphosa’s illness or indicate how long he was expected to be off from public duties.
On Friday, IOL sent an inquiry to the Presidency seeking an update.
However, no response had been received by the time of publication.
