Rams announce 1 practice squad elevation for Giants game - Rams Wire

The Los Angeles Rams are only bringing up one player from the practice squad for tonight's game against the New York Giants – and even though Puka Nacua's status is in doubt, the player being promoted isn't a wide receiver.

The Rams announced they have elevated linebacker Elias Neal. Even with Nate Landman, Omar Speights, Grant Stuard and Shaun Dolac all healthy, Los Angeles felt it could use more linebacker depth. In all likelihood, Neal will be nothing more than a special teams contributor because even if one of the starting linebackers gets hurt, Stuard or Dolac will step in.

The Rams have seven wide receivers on the 53-man roster, and last week against the 49ers, both Tutu Atwell and CJ Daniels were healthy scratches. So in the event that Nacua is ruled out, one of those players will likely be active – if not both of them.
