Ranveer Singh to Shilpa Shetty, celebs turn up for Bappa at Lalbaugcha Raja
Ranveer Singh was among the latest celebrities to visit Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja during Ganesh Chaturthi, with the popular pandal continuing to draw film personalities and thousands of devotees. Dressed in a white kurta-pyjama, the actor offered prayers to Lord Ganesha, greeted people at the venue, waved and blew flying kisses to the crowd outside before leaving. Videos from his visit later surfaced on social media.
His visit came amid a steady flow of celebrity appearances at Lalbaugcha Raja this year. Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh, Shilpa Shetty, producer Ektaa Kapoor and actor Sidharth Malhotra were also among those who visited the pandal to seek Bappa’s blessings, underlining Lalbaugcha Raja’s place at the centre of Mumbai’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.
Ranveer visited Lalbaugcha Raja in a semi-chikankari-style white kurta with pyjamas and offered prayers to Lord Ganesha. He was seen greeting several young fans and shaking hands with them as he made his way through the premises. Before leaving, he leaned out of his SUV to wave at the crowd and blow flying kisses.
Ranveer is currently shooting for his upcoming film Pralay. He was last seen in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which emerged as a major box-office success, earning more than Rs 1,800 crore worldwide.

Her visit came amid the festive celebrations in Mumbai, where Lalbaugcha Raja remains one of the biggest attractions during Ganesh Chaturthi. Ahead of the trailer launch of The Vvaan, producer Ektaa Kapoor and actor Sidharth Malhotra also stopped at Lalbaugcha Raja. Lalbaugcha Raja has been a major part of Mumbai’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations for decades. The idol was first installed in 1934 by fishermen and traders from the Lalbaug area after local markets shut down, leaving workers without a place of worship.
The idol later came to be known as Navsacha Ganpati, linked to the belief that Bappa fulfils the wishes of devotees. Every year, lakhs of people visit the pandal and often wait for hours for darshan.
