RDA officer's widow awaits compensation

The widow of a former deputy director of finance at the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has sought payment of her late husband's outstanding dues and pension, saying she was forced to vacate the official residence during her iddat period and is now facing financial hardship while supporting her child. The woman submitted an application to the RDA director-general during a visit to the authority's office on Monday, seeking payment of her late husband's financial dues and pension. According to the application, the woman's husband, former RDA deputy director finance Junaid Taj Bhatti, died mysteriously in May 2025 while serving as director general of the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), Sialkot. The widow said one year and four months had passed since her husband's death, but she had yet to receive his outstanding financial dues or pension as his widow.
