Popular comedian Real Warri Pikin cannot deny being in a dilemma after she was forced to apologise to her husband and fans over her viral interaction with singer Timaya during his performance at the 2026 AFRIMMA Awards in Dallas, United States.

The comedienne really did not expect the buzz that greeted her one-night stage appearance with the “Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa.” But then, it is what it is.

And Real Warri Pikin is everywhere now, explaining herself and tendering apologies to her husband and fans. In fact, the buzz somehow took the shine off her win on the night. The comedian won Best Stand-Up Comedian at the event, yet nobody is talking about it. Instead, attention has shifted to the controversy sparked by her stage appearance with Timaya.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, she explained that she was backstage while Timaya was performing when he invited a woman to join him on stage.

According to her, she rushed out because she enjoys a good performance and did not know that Timaya’s routine involved bringing a woman on stage and lifting her.

She said she initially resisted when the singer asked her to jump on him, but eventually participated after he urged her not to spoil his performance.The moment, which was entertaining to those present at the event, sparked criticism online after videos surfaced.
