Ramaphosa’s address comes at a time when the social issue is gripping the country after the discovery of several women’s bodies around Ekurhuleni, east of Johannesburg, in a short space of time.
On Monday, 23-year-old Boitumelo Gift Mashita from Thembisa was shot and killed on her way to work, with her family saying they believe she was killed by someone known to her.
