Sachivalayam staff plan to organise ‘Chalo Vijayawada’ on September 27

Employees of the Swarna Gramam and Swarna Ward Sachivalayams have given a call to organise ‘Chalo Vijayawada’ on Sunday seeking redress of their grievances.

Among others, the employees are seeking grant of two notional increments, disbursement of pending wages, permanent structure for promotions. They also allege that injustice has been done to them in matters of promotion and other benefits.

They plan to gather on BRTS Road and stage a protest at Dharna Chowk. However, the police have made it clear that there is no permission for the proposed protest.

“Stern action will be taken against those violating Section 30 of the Police Act,” warns Krishna district Superintendent of Police V. Vidyasagar Naidu.

“Due to heavy rains and Ganesh Nimajjanam, permission has not been granted for any protests and rallies on Sunday,” says Deputy Commissioner of Police G. Ramakrishna.
