Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s video from the Ambani family’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebration has gone viral, with several fans praising his secularism. Khan was seen offering prayers to Lord Ganpati as the Ambanis welcomed Ganpati Bappa to their Mumbai home, Antilia, for Ganesh Chaturthi 2026 at Antilia Cha Raja on September 14.

In the video, the 60-year-old is seen standing before the idol of Lord Ganpati during the puja. A priest is seen placing an Angavastram, a traditional Hindu cloth draped around the neck and shoulders during worship or prayer, around his neck, after which the actor offers flowers to the idol. Salman also led the arrivals in a relaxed look, while Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, and Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza arrived in coordinated traditional outfits. Jeetendra attended with daughter Ektaa Kapoor, Kajol came with Nysa and Yug, and Varun Dhawan was accompanied by wife Natasha Dalal.

Reacting to Salman Khan’s appearance at the event, an X user wrote, "#SalmanKhan offered his prayers to Lord Ganesha, tilak on his forehead, respect! This is what secularism looks like when it’s lived, not just talked about (sic)."

A second X user wrote, "I haven't seen such a secular person like him. Salman Khan came at ambani house for Ganapati celebration. Media - Assalamualikum bhaijaan. Bhaijaan - Walikumasalam. This is the beauty of humanity, now here we know why he's the biggest superstar of Indian cinema (sic)."

A third X user said, "#SalmanKhan offered prayers to Lord Ganesha with a tilak on his forehead and a sacred gamcha draped over his shoulder. He celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi and offers prayers every year. Truly beautiful to see his devotion to Lord Ganesha (sic)."

The reactions to the Ganesh Chaturthi video come after Salman Khan’s Raksha Bandhan celebration with sister Arpita Khan Sharma also drew attention online.

In a video shared by Arpita on Instagram from the family gathering at sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri’s home, Arpita is seen performing aarti and tying a rakhi to Salman, while a large mural of Jesus Christ featuring ‘The Last Supper’ is visible on the wall behind them. Arpita was seen in a patterned white kurta with a matching dupatta, with her hair left open, while Salman kept it casual in a T-shirt, jeans and a black cowboy-style hat.

That clip also led to reactions on X, with some users calling it “the most secular thing on the internet”.

Salman was also seen outside the residence with multiple colourful rakhis tied around his wrist and a tilak on his forehead. When photographers asked him to show the rakhis, he briefly raised his wrist before getting into his car. What’s happening workwise for Salman Khan
