Seruvakula's prospects of being full time coach for Fiji fading fast? - ABC Pacific - ABC News & Headlines – Australian Broadcasting Corporation
The Flying Fijians have lost their crown as Pacific Nations Cup champions, after losing this year's final against Japan by 20 points to 15 in Tokyo.
The result was sweet revenge for the Brave Blossoms under former Australia coach Eddie Jones, after they were defeated by Fiji in 2025 and 2024.
There was better news for Fijiana competing in the revamped WXV Global series in Hong Kong, where they defeated the host team comfortably by 54 points to 26.
So most of the scrutiny will likely be on the men's team, under acting coach Senirusi Seruvakula.
The full time post has been advertised, and candidates from around the world are likely to be in for the job, so with just one win to his name so far, the incumbent would appear to be struggling to hold on to his role.
