The iconic girl group appeared on β€œFast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Wednesday and shared the meaning behind their latest single, β€œMama Mama.”

Leader Rochelle Pangilinan referenced the lyrics, β€œMama Mama para sa aming mga naka naka.”

β€œIt’s not about passing the crown, but one of the meanings is that having a group in the Philippines should not be about competition, but collaboration,” she said in Filipino.

Per Rochelle, this is the reason why they invited rising P-Pop groups to be part of the single's music video.

β€œAnd we are so happy that they agreed, and we are happy that they became available on the date we invited them. So we were able to do a music video for our naka naka."

The girls were also asked about how they feel whenever it is said that they are incomparable to other groups, with Rochelle saying that it’s still all about collaboration.

β€œWe really don’t want competition. We really want collaboration,” Rochelle said. β€œIt’s better if we get together because that’s happier."

CLOUD 7, DNA, AJAA, YGIG, 1621, MEIMEI, FINA, and YES MY LOVE were the groups that appeared in the β€œMama Mama” video.

The SexBomb Girls first reunited for a concert at the Araneta Coliseum last December, but the overwhelming ticket demand kept them performing for more shows. They also headed on a world tour, visiting cities in Australia and the United States.

Rochelle also previously teased that the Sexbomb Girls are working on new projects for their fans, including new music and a documentary series. They also released a coffee table book about their reunion.

The SexBomb Girls are known for the dance hits "The Spaghetti Song" and "Halukay Ube," among others.

Their new β€œMama Mama” was released this month.
