Steelers get bad injury news after heartbreaking loss to Browns
As if the Week 4 loss to the Cleveland Browns wasn't already a tough pill to swallow, the Pittsburgh Steelers received a huge gut punch in the form of a troubling injury update.
Following the 27-24 loss, Derrick Harmon, who was carted off the field after suffering an apparent foot injury, was spotted by reporters with a walking boot on his right foot. This is hardly the injury update the Steelers needed, but it's the sad reality the team currently faces at 2-2.
It's unknown exactly what happened to Harmon on the play he suffered his foot injury, but he was seen limping off to the blue medical tent during the Browns' touchdown drive early in the second quarter, only to be carted into the locker room with around 12 minutes remaining in the first half.
Harmon, who was drafted by the Steelers in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, has looked promising when healthy. Harmon missed five games due to knee injuries as a rookie but appeared to be 100% heading into 2026.
Harmon helped seal the Steelers' Week 3 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, and his absence for two-and-a-half quarters likely played a huge role in Pittsburgh's defensive collapse in the 27-24 loss. Hopefully, Harmon won't miss much, if any, time with his foot setback. But it's hard to be optimistic about the injury after he was seen in a walking boot.
