Steelers HC Mike McCarthy leaves door open for roster changes after blowout loss - Steelers Wire

Sunday's blowout loss to the New England Patriots was an offensive nightmare for the Pittsburgh Steelers offense. Yes, the defense had some lapses but overall, this loss falls squarely on the offense and head coach Mike McCarthy. McCarthy fell on his sword after the game and admitted he saw this performance coming and said this loss falls on him.

This is all well and good but what was more important was that McCarthy didn't rule out the idea of making roster changes on offense to take some heat off of quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers spent the entire game under duress, and if McCarthy does make a change, it's going to be on the offensive line.

"We've got to give Aaron better platforms to throw off of," McCarthy said. "I don't want to dink and dunk all day."

If we are tlaking offensive line, we are talking the right side. Left tackle Troy Fautanu, left guard Mason McCormick and center Zach Frazier are locked in, although make no mistake, they weren't great on Sunday. But it's the right side that matters. Guard Spencer Anderson and right tackle Dylan Cook really struggled and both guys have young players waiting in the wings. Could we see guard Gennings Dunker or tackle Max Iheanachor getting first-team reps this week?
