The reopened inquest into the death of Steve Biko could turn the spotlight on former apartheid spy Craig Williamson, with the late activist’s family seeking to have him subpoenaed.
Williamson was a senior figure in the regime’s security apparatus and gave evidence at the reopened Cradock Four inquest.
The family argues his evidence there is significant, as he admitted that Biko had been placed under surveillance.
