Taxi boss Joe 'Ferrari' Sibanyoni set to return to Madlanga Commission - EWN

Mpumalanga taxi boss Joe 'Ferrari' Sibanyoni is set to return to the Madlanga Commission for cross-examination on Monday.

Sibanyoni testified last month about his tumultuous business relation with now-late taxi mogul Jothan Msibi.

Sibanyoni accused the alleged former cartel kingpin of orchestrating two assassination attempts on him.

The alleged second attempt was said to have happened after Sibanyoni attempted to leave their taxi business partnership, in 2019.

Sibanyoni reenacted a phone call from Msibi at the time.

"'What do you mean? I taught you the ins and out of this industry. Now you're putting back into my face that you want to retire? You will retire after me being retiring. This is the taxi industry, papa. Do you get me what I'm saying?' So, he was putting - I was a little bit frightened. I could hear him what he means that."
