Thando Zide brings Ku Ngawe to life in an afternoon of fashion, food and soulful sound - EWN
Fashion, food and soulful sound came together at the Ku Ngawe album experience on Sunday, bringing hundreds of attendees to their feet and into their feelings.
On a sunny afternoon at Mount Joy Farm, neutral tones, soft blues and splashes of burnt orange dominated a fashionable crowd that had come out for Afro-soul and R&B artist Thando Zide.
The Soweto-born musician, who to many may seem like a veteran of the scene, thanked her fans, saying that as an emerging artist she is still in awe of the support she has received.
The event, held in partnership with Stella Artois, was staged at a venue far enough out of town to keep guests on the road longer than they might have liked. The trip was worth it. Lush lawns, garden umbrellas and carefully arranged seating set the scene as Zide performed to an audience that sang along to most of the set.
