Twenty-seven years ago, American educator Ronald Sakolsky came to China as part of a teacher exchange program. During his time here, he not only helped support China's reforestation efforts, but also planted a seed of friendship that would take root across generations and borders. When he returned to China after nearly three decades, he found a forest where there had once been a desert.
