Three militants belonging to two factions of a banned outfit have been arrested by security forces in Imphal East district of Manipur, a police statement said on Tuesday (September 22, 2026).
All the arrests were made on Monday (September 21, 2026), the statement said.
A militant belonging to the Kangleipak Communist Party (MFL) was arrested by a joint team of State police commandos and Assam Rifles personnel from the Andro area. He was identified as Yumnam Ramos Singh (21).
In another joint operation by State police commandos and the Army, two active members of the KCP (Apunba) were arrested in the Lamlai area. They were identified as Ngangom Loijinghenba Meitei (22) and Ngangom Hemba Meitei (28), the statement added.
