According to information reported by CNN Türk, citing U.S. Ambassador to Ankara Tom Barrack as a source, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and U.S. President Donald Trump will meet in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
Preparations are underway for the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, where world leaders gather annually in New York. The 81st session of the UN General Assembly will begin on September 22 under the theme “Restoring Trust, Managing Transformation: A UN That Delivers Results for All.”
During the “high-level week”—the segment of the General Assembly during which leaders will deliver their addresses—President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is also expected to take the podium. Erdoğan is projected to be fourth in line to speak during the addresses on the first day of the session.
High-level representatives from approximately 190 countries are expected to attend this year’s General Assembly sessions.
