Traffic curbs, diversions announced across Cyberabad for Ganesh immersion

Cyberabad Traffic Police have announced traffic restrictions and diversions around several Ganesh idol immersion points, with the curbs remaining in force until the forenoon of September 26.
The restrictions cover IDL Lake in Kukatpally, Pragathi Nagar Lake, Gangaram Lake, Kattamaisamma tank and Malkam Cheruvu, besides curbs on private travel buses on key routes.
At IDL Lake, IDL Tank Road will remain closed to all vehicles except those taking part in Ganesh processions between the IDL entrance and Rainbow Vista. Traffic from Kukatpally Y Junction towards Madhapur through IDL Tank Road will be diverted at the IDL entrance towards JNTU, Forum Mall, Hitec City and Madhapur.
Vehicles travelling from Hitec City, Madhapur and Hafeezpet towards Kukatpally Y Junction will be diverted through Lucky Restaurant signal, KPHB 4th Phase, Road No. 1 and the Remedy Hospital U-turn. An alternative route through Khaithlapur flyover, Rainbow Vista, Anjaiah Nagar crossroads and Moosapet has also been suggested.
Around Pragathi Nagar Lake, the road between Srinivasa Steel and Three Monkey Junction will be closed to general traffic. Vehicles from Gandimaisamma and Pragathi Nagar heading towards JNTU will be diverted through Nizampet village and Nizampet Road. Traffic in the opposite direction towards Pragathi Nagar Colony will be routed through Tulasinagar, Konaseema Hotel Road and Nizampet village.
Heavy vehicles coming from Patancheru will be diverted at BHEL Junction through Tara Nagar Market, Tellapur and Gopanpally. Heavy vehicles travelling between Gandimaisamma and Balanagar will also face diversions through Bahadurpally, Dulapally, Suraram and Bowrampet, depending on the direction of travel.
At Malkam Cheruvu, general traffic coming from Dargah on the Old Mumbai Highway will be diverted through Road No. 32, behind Malkam Cheruvu, and KIMS Hospital Lane before rejoining the highway. This restriction will be in force from noon on September 25 until 8 a.m. on September 26.
Private travel buses will also face restrictions during the immersion period. Buses travelling from Miyapur towards Hyderabad through Kukatpally Y Junction, those operating from Miyapur through Hafeezpet, Kondapur and Gachibowli, and buses travelling from BHEL Junction towards Gachibowli through HCU Road will be restricted. Operators have been asked to use the BHEL-Patancheru-ORR route instead.
Police advised commuters to factor in the diversions while planning their journeys and cooperate with traffic personnel.
