Two persons were taken into custody after a four-member gang allegedly barged into rooms occupied by migrant workers at Kuttikkattoor in Kozhikode and attempted to rob them at knifepoint late on Saturday night (September 13, 2026). The two were identified as Adarsh of Kuttikkattoor and Ajas of Poovattuparamba. The other two suspects fled the scene.
According to the police, the gang allegedly entered the workers’ rooms and threatened them with knives while attempting to steal cash and mobile phones. The workers, with the help of residents, managed to overpower and detain two suspects.
The police reached the spot and took the two into custody. A case has been registered, and a search is under way for the two suspects who escaped.
