UAAP: Adamson bounces back, downs UST - GMA Network

Adamson University bounced back at the expense of the University of Santo Tomas, 85-57, on Saturday in UAAP Season 89 at the Philsports Arena.

Holding a 36-23 lead at the end of the first half, the Soaring Falcons pulled away further in the second half, particularly in the fourth period, where they outscored UST, 31-18, to eventually claim the victory.

Monty Montebon had 21 points, seven assists, five rebounds, and two steals, while Matty Erolon and Earl Medina had 17 and 11 points, respectively.

Collins Akowe posted a double-double of 19 points and 15 rebounds, along with two assists and a block, while Amiel Acido had 11 points, seven rebounds, and an assist.

With the win, Adamson improved to 2-1, while UST slipped to 2-2.
