Various demonstrations condemning Ekurhuleni murders happening countrywide - EWN
As the nation mourns and demands answers over the deaths of nine women in Ekurhuleni, civil society and communities are mobilising countrywide, staging demonstrations to voice their strong condemnation.
This, as fear and grief continue to grip Ekurhuleni, with the government rallying support for families who have already identified their loved ones.
Four of the nine women have now been confirmed by their families. The latest identification is that of Gracious Nkomo, which was announced by police on Thursday night.
A men's prayer march has been organised in solidarity with the victims and to call for an end to gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF).
Friday marks day six since police issued an alert, urging women to exercise caution in and around Kempton Park.
