The first Saturday brought some much-needed momentum for both Daayra and Vibe at the box office. While Meghna Gulzar’s crime thriller, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kareena Kapoor Khan, recorded a 60 per cent jump in its India net collection, Kunal Kemmu’s action comedy continued to stay ahead of its box-office rival after two days.

Daayra, which released in theatres on September 18, earned an estimated Rs 1.60 crore net in India on Day 2, according to Sacnilk. The film had opened at Rs 1 crore on Friday, taking its two-day India net collection to Rs 2.60 crore.

Meanwhile, Vibe registered a bigger collection on its first Saturday, earning Rs 2.65 crore net from 2,979 shows. The film had collected Rs 1.70 crore on Day 1, taking its two-day total to Rs 4.35 crore. With this, Vibe continued to maintain its lead over Daayra in the two-day box-office race.Daayra box office Day 2

Daayra recorded 2,062 shows across India on Saturday and registered an overall occupancy of 20.46 per cent. Morning shows recorded 8.15 per cent occupancy, while afternoon screenings witnessed 19.77 per cent.

The film saw stronger audience turnout during the later screenings, with evening shows recording 27.23 per cent occupancy and night shows registering 26.69 per cent.

Among the major cities, Bengaluru recorded the highest occupancy for Daayra at 45.3 per cent. Chennai followed with 28.5 per cent, while Bhopal and Pune recorded 26 per cent and 24 per cent, respectively. The National Capital Region registered 23 per cent occupancy, while Mumbai recorded 20 per cent.

Vibe witnessed a 55.9 per cent increase in its India net collection on Saturday. The film earned Rs 2.65 crore from 2,979 shows, compared with Rs 1.70 crore from 3,194 shows on its opening day.

Its overall occupancy also improved from 14 per cent on Friday to 21 per cent on Saturday. The Hindi 2D version recorded 21.92 per cent occupancy across the reported shows.

Morning screenings registered 9.23 per cent occupancy, followed by 22.15 per cent in the afternoon. Evening shows recorded 23.62 per cent, while night screenings witnessed the highest occupancy at 32.69 per cent.

After two days, Vibe has earned Rs 5.22 crore gross in India, remaining ahead of Daayra at the box office.About Daayra
