Watch Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari discuss the economy and monetary policy

Minneapolis Federal Reserve President Neel Kashkari will sit down with CNBC's Steve Liesman for an exclusive conversation about the U.S. economy and monetary policy Wednesday night.

Kashkari's comments follow Wednesday morning's release of the August personal consumption expenditures price index. The index, which is considered Fed's preferred gauge of inflation, came in lower than economists forecasted.

Payroll services firm ADP also reported Wednesday that the private sector added 90,000 jobs in September, which was higher than economists predicted. That release came ahead of the closely followed jobs report for September due Friday.

The Fed this month issued its first interest rate hike in three years. The central bank also signaled that another increase could be on the horizon.
