What NFL games are on today? Week 1 TV channels, Sunday schedule - USA Today

The banner has been raised, the passport has been stamped and finally it is time for football.

A loaded Sunday schedule with 13 games awaits after a wonky pair of games to kick off Week 1. A Wednesday kickoff in Seattle saw the Seahawks battle back without Sam Darnold to defeat the New England Patriots in a Super Bowl rematch. Thursday, technically Friday morning in Melbourne, saw the league's first game in Australia.

And after all of that, it brings us to the day when football was meant to be played.

"NFL RedZone" host Scott Hanson has been defrosted, now able to guide fans through a slate of games that will see a new Pittsburgh Steelers head coach for the first time since 2006, an early clash between AFC powerhouses and Kyler Murray's debut for the Vikings. That's all before John Harbaugh's coaching debut with the Giants finishes off the day on "Sunday Night Football."

There are start/sit decisions to be made and a pair of witching hours that loom in our future.

The first Sunday slate of the NFL season is back with a familiar look to it as the games return to traditional channels. CBS, Fox and NBC will have the broadcasts for all 13 games on the slate.

Cord cutters hoping to watch the first NFL action of the season won't have a shortage of options either. Fubo, which comes with a free trial, carries all three networks so you can watch from the first kickoff of the day all the way through the final seconds of "Sunday Night Football."

NBC's streaming service, Peacock, serves as an additional option for cord cutters trying to watch the Giants and Cowboys.
