Isolated showers are likely in parts of the State on Wednesday (September 16), triggered by the low-pressure system over southwest Rajasthan adjoining the Kutch region and southeast Pakistan. A yellow alert has been issued for Ernakulam, Idukki and Pathanamthitta, warning of isolated heavy showers. Meanwhile, temperatures remained above normal in the majority of the places in the State on Tuesday, with Kottayam recording 35.0 °C, the highest in the State, around 4.1 °C higher than the average temperature on the day.
